Rooted

/root-id/
:to be deeply established—firmly anchored, organically connected to the earth, and sustained by the quiet strength and stability from which life grows.

A ten-month journey for parents who are ready to look closely at their child, and themselves.

FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN 0-8

You are not looking for more advice.

You've read the books.

You've followed the accounts.

You have opinions about attachment, about screen time, about whether preschool at three is too soon or right on time.

And still, most mornings, you're making it up as you go.

This isn't a knowledge problem. You don't need one more expert telling you the right way to parent.

What should you do when every source seems to disagree with the last one. When your child doesn't do what the books say children do. When you're exhausted by decisions that never end.

Somewhere in the noise, your own instincts got quiet.

Want to guide your child’s development, but wonder how?

Want family life to feel more connected, more honest, more sustainable?‍ ‍

Feel like you are parenting from habit, pressure, and autopilot?

Want to trust your instincts about what’s right for your child and family?

Want to see your child for who they are, not who you need them to be?

The early years matter more than we’ve been taught to believe.

You love your child. That was never the question. The real question is quieter than that. It's the one that shows up at 6am when the day hasn't started yet and you're already tired. It's the one behind every choice about childcare, about school, about screen time, about whether to sign up for one more activity or finally say “no”.

The way you are living right now and the choices you are making shape who your child is becoming, and lay the foundation for your child to live fully and deeply.

WHY ROOTED?

Most of what shapes your family is invisible.

The visible things are easy to see: the calendar, the activities, the routines you are trying to hold. But underneath all of it are the things that actually drive your days. Your nervous system. Your thoughts, ideas, and dreams about being a parent. Your own experience as a child. Your child’s development vs. what you see in front of you.

If you’ve found your way here, it’s likely because something inside you is wanting to forge your own path. To find out what you actually believe underneath everyone else’s opinions. And then build a life that reflects it.

Because what you find yourself you carry differently than what you're simply told.

That's what Rooted is for.

Rooted is a ten-month program for parents of children 0-8.

Because the family that knows what it values doesn't need a script.

This isn't a curriculum to implement.

It's a practice you build with yourself and your child, for your family.

Over ten months, you'll slow down enough to notice what's actually true for your family. Not what's trending, or worked for someone else. What’s true for you.

From there, everything else gets easier to decide:

  • How you want to structure your days and your time

  • What kind of learning environment fits your child, whether that's school, homeschool, or something in between

  • How to choose childcare, activities, and rhythms that support your family instead of scattering it

  • How to parent from presence instead of reaction

For you: You'll learn to notice the patterns quietly shaping your parenting where you are reacting instead of responding, or living from your deepest values.

For your child: You'll learn to see beyond behavior to the developmental needs shaping your child. With a deeper understanding of how your child is growing, you'll make everyday parenting decisions with greater clarity and confidence.

Together, we can build a family life that feels less like managing, and more like tending something alive.

Enrollment now open for September 2026.

The Rooted Journey

Rooted is a guided experience designed to help you slow down, notice more deeply, and be intentional in choices for you, your child, and your family. It unfolds over ten months, from September through early June, moving in rhythm with the seasons and alongside your child's development.

Rooted gives you the space to listen, understand, and grow alongside your child, season by season. Throughout the year, you'll have the time, space, and support to build a parenting practice that will support you and your family. You won’t be alone, and you won’t be rushed through it.

We explore five foundational threads that weave together the family life you are seeking. Each thread has a visible layer, and a deeper one beneath it; we work with both over nine months, deepening your understanding as you move through the program.

WHAT WE EXPLORE

How you show up, day to day, becomes part of how your child learns to be in their own experience of life. The more you are able to stay present in the moment, you learn to trust yourself and your child. This is work you're both learning, together.

Relationship

A child isn't developing in pieces. Body, mind, emotions, and sense of self are growing together, each one shaping the others. You'll learn how to respond to all of your child, instead of just the behavior or the milestone in front of you.

Child Development

Children thrive on a consistent flow to the day that supports their heart, mind and body. You'll learn to build a rhythm around your family's actual life, one you can sustain with a little attention and ease, and one that flexes with the season, your work life, and your child.

Rhythm

A child's environment shapes them, especially when it meets their natural drive to explore, move, order, and build independence. You'll learn to look at spaces through this lens: does this invite my child to grow into themselves?

Environment

Children need to encounter the world through play, through nature, through real work alongside the adults they trust. You'll learn how to weave rich, unhurried experiences into ordinary days, and how to evaluate outside experiences, from childcare, school, enrichment, by whether they add to this or take away from it.

Experience

HOW ROOTED UNFOLDS

  • Months 1-3

    See & Explore

How do you see what's underneath?

You'll begin by noticing the relationship dynamics beneath your reactions; the development beneath your child’s actions and behavior; the messages inside your environment; the learning inside their play; and the rhythm running underneath your days.

  • Months 4-6

    Practice & Experience

How do you build with intention?

This is where you explore how you want to shape your environment, experience, and rhythm around what you've actually noticed, and live inside it. Not a plan on paper, but your real days, with all their mess and adjustment, as you find out what actually fits your child and your family.

  • Months 7-10

    Trust & Understand

How do you move the practice forward?

This is where it comes together, not as a formula, but as a practice you have experienced and followed, and now step into guiding for your child, willing to learn and grow alongside them.

What supports you along the way.

YOUR GUIDE

I've been where you are.

Longing for family life to feel more aligned; more honest, more connected, more true to what you actually value. Wondering how to let go of who you think your child should be, and trust who they already are.

The question isn't just about what we want for our children, it’s also about what we seek for ourselves.

As parents, we're often too busy to consider our own inner experience: what we need, how we feel, and what we most deeply value.

How we show up shapes everything.

This is why you are here, and why you want to support your child in discovering who they are, and how they want to live in the world.

I’m so glad you are here.

THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS

Step 1: We talk.

You book a free 20–30 minute discovery call. This is where I'll answer your questions, share cost and payment options, and we'll explore together what you're looking for, and whether Rooted is the right fit.

If you feel we're a good fit, I’ll send you the onboarding form and other next steps, and we’ll schedule your welcome session.

Step 2: You decide.

Step 3: The program starts.

I’ll meet with you to explore what you'd like to discover, change, or nurture in your child and dive deeper into your family's unique needs and dreams. You'll also be welcomed into your small group, and the rhythm of the program starts.

Ready to begin?

Noticing what lives beneath your reactions, habits, and assumptions. Learning to listen more deeply, trust your intuition, and make space for what wants to emerge.

There will be moments of uncertainty, release, and growth; not because you're doing it wrong, but because becoming more intentional asks something of us.

By the end of nine months, you’ll have your own clarity, and the capacity to make decisions about rhythms, activities, school, and childcare based on what truly matters to your family, not what's popular, expected, or driven by fear.

THE HONEST PART

This is invisible work.

And alongside you, your child is growing with a parent who is more present, more grounded, and more fully themselves.

What this makes possible:

  • Letting go of the patterns you inherited or copied in search of being a "good" parent.

  • Trusting that noticing your child is meaningful work.

  • Recognizing your own history with compassion.

  • Allowing yourself to not have every answer yet.

  • Returning, again and again, to what is true and life-giving for your family.

That isn't a side effect. It's the whole point.

  • “Megan has a true gift for working with children and families. Her insight comes from a place of love and wonder. She has guided me through challenging times of parenting and helped me remember what gifts I have as well. I am forever grateful for her guidance!”

—E.Y., a 1:1 coaching parent in public school

  • Every session, Megan stopped my negativity, and breathed energy, patience, and love into my practice and life. Thank you for helping me become the best teacher I can be.

    T.S., 1:1 coaching teacher

  • “I cannot say enough good things about Megan and the positive impact she has had on our family. Through our conversations, Megan has taught me how to talk to my children, how to set up rhythms for the day, and how to create an environment where the children have agency - inspiring self-confidence, creativity, and community.”

    — J.L., a Creative seed program parent

  • "We decided to homeschool when our children were ready to enter first grade. Megan's advice and guidance, as we navigated our way through the first few years, provided us with the confidence and direction to keep going. She listened to our challenges and provided a plan for curriculum, experiences and an understanding of child development that eased our concerns. I can't recommend her guidance enough for parents at any stage in their journey."

    — H.C. & J.C., 1:1 coaching parents and Creative Seed Program family

  • There are no words for how grateful we are that we had Megan in our lives. She has been an incredible source of encouragement, patience, and love. Thank you isn't enough!

E.N., a Creative Seed program parent

  • It was so scary to consider sending our little one to school for the first time. With Megan's nurturing guidance, we were able to give our child and ourselves the space and time we needed, and our child was able to transition into preschool and thrive. It was a remarkable experience and we highly recommend Megan's coaching!
